As 2012 revs up I look at it dread. I can just hear and see all the comments about the President. It's not like everyone hates Obama already, for a year all we are going to hear is how much Obama has screwed up America.
I have been a harsh critic of the President, but I feel I have the right to. I voted for the President, I bought his "hope and change" rhetoric-- So, I do believe that those that typically vote Democratic have the right to question him.
I think Barack Obama has made some really stupid decisions. He has not stood up or even made an extreme effort to help those that did vote for him.
Barack Obama was elected because of economic issues in 2008, and if he loses in 2012-- it will be due to economic issues.
I think Obama has done more than extraordinary well on Foreign Policy issues. I think that his refocusing on Afghanistan, and his leadership led to the killing of the mastermind of 9/11. He did what he said he would do, and for that I think he deserves some credit.
But Obama has done sub-par on Domestic Issues. However, our nation is so messed up economically I don't know how anyone can fix it. So, I don't place too much blame on him for it... But, I do place blame that he hasn't stood for what he thinks will fix it. When he won in 2008, he made a point to end the Bush Tax Cuts. He caved...
In Wisconsin, the Labor Unions are in big trouble, the President said he would march with him. This NEVER happened, and I think he will pay for it.
You see my problem with him? Obama seems like a dead fish most of the time when it comes to Domestic Issues. When Foreign things come up, I see this strong and confident leader. But, when Domestic Issues come he waffles-- and we don't need that right now.
So 2012 is coming up... the Republicans are lining up to be elected. And so far, there is only one in the crowd that I would feel would be okay running the country.
I do not like Palin, I think she's a horrible candidate and even more a horrible person. I don't think she's qualified, she's bitter, she says things that make my blood boil. I can't stand to listen to her for 4-8 years. I think her connection with Tuscon, even though I do not think she is to blame-- will ensure her that she will never win. She shouldn't even try, more than half of her party doesn't want her to run. And even more out of the public, would never vote for her. She's the worst decision for President.
Michelle Bachman, is the same thing-- Sarah part 2. Only she's even more stupid.... Nope, not gonna happen.
Herman Cain?- I don't know much about this guy, but from what I have read.. it kind of sounds scary... A Pizza Chain Owner, President? But like I said, I don't know much so that kind of freaks me out. I think he will cause a lot of buzz and a lot of stir because he's different.
Tim Pawlenty?- Just boring... He seems decent, but he's just lacking pizazz that a candidate would need.
Rick Perry... I'll say it, He can't even run Texas, much less the country. I guess I have never been a Perry fan, so the mere thought of him being my President makes me want to vomit. I don't want to campaign for Obama, but I will if he enters the race. NOPE. He will never be elected in the Primary, nor the General public... He's too ignorant.
There are several others, but all of those aren't even worth mentioning.
So that leaves one-- Mitt Romney.
Mitt Romney will win the Presidential Primary, and more over he is the ONLY one that can be electable right now.I still think Romney is a long shot, but if things can't be done about the economy soon-- I think we can pretty sure that Romney may be President of the United States.
However....
This kind of rings like the Election of 2004. Where as Foreign issues and the Kerry lackluster campaign ensured that Bush would get 4 more years... Romney's campaign already kind of looks like it could be a Kerry type campaign.
Romney makes compelling arguments, and he is positioning himself already to hit with the Independents.
But what really surprises me is the Republican party. The Republican Party has became so idelogically bitter and so full of vile, that I don't even know where the good Republicans are. Romney represents the last of the good Republicans.
No one will vote for Palin, Cain, Perry, Bachmann-- that crowd. They may have voted for Tea Party candidates for 2010, but a national Tea Party candidate will never win.
It's still a ways from now... anything can happen.
On September 11, 2001- I remember feeling the fear and dread of our country being under attack. It felt like it was the end of the world, but we didn't allow it to be the end. We united as one people, stood together with New York City and collectively hurt as a people. 3,00 of our own brothers and sisters died senselessly and these people were just like you and me. The First tower had men, women and children of all backgrounds and beliefs. The Second tower had people of all walks of life, Those in the Pentagon had families. And those brave people that took down United Flight 93, had friends like you and me. We immediately knew that the mastermind and the murderer was Osama bin Laden. This man, devoted his life to killing and destroying us. Previous before 9/11 he blew up one of our naval ships and killed hundreds of our servicemen. He blew up our embassies, and mocked our country for being "spineless and weak." How fitting that in his cowardly death, he shielded himself with a woman. Who's the coward now?
But anyway, after 9/11 we led a strike to find him Afghanistan. The families of 3,000 people wanted justice for their family members, I can imagine most of them not sleeping at night. Well last night, they could sleep and realize that the thing they wanted so badly- was given.
We are removed from 9/11, being ten years later-- but we do not need to be. We need to realize that this man, was bent on destruction and wanted to do much more damage to our country. He would have not hesitated to kill you or me, destroy our nation...but he will not.
What Osama bin Laden has done was much more than destroy our buildings and killed our brothers and sisters. He has also caused great changes in our freedoms, spawned a war on terror that has killed thousands upon thousands of civilians, and our own men. He changed our nation greatly, and not for the better. But our wounds are healing, and we will become a great nation again.
The death of Osama bin Laden does not end our battle against Al Qaeda, they are going to go after us. But they must know, that we will be there and will destroy them.
We have the greatest military and the greatest servicemen in the world. They are highly trained and highly skilled, Al Qaeda has no match against our military.
We do not need to feel sympathetic for his death. What he did to you, was not forgivable by us. The consequences of his actions were completely warranted, and he had to die. Please understand as a Christians, I am very sad that the spirit of the Antichrist in him, deceived him and deceived multitudes of people. No one is exempt from the truth, not you, not me-- Not Osama bin Laden. The wages of his crime was death.... and that's what he got.
We should be thankful for our leaders that carried this out. They stood strong and completed the mission. Bush's administration helped lay the foundation for this operation. And President Obama's administration carried out, he signed the order and we prevailed. I am not going to get into a political debate in this post, we will have that debate during 2012...nows not the time.
The time is that we should praise our military for the sacrifice and skill they gave to completing this operation they deserve our utmost praise and respect.

How in the world has the United States gotten to this point? Donald Trump leads the polls for the Republican Nomination. I heard someone on Fox say, "He's like a new Ronald Reagan." COME ON! Really?
Okay, let it be known-- I am really not fond of the Republican party- I don't think that's a secret. I am not fond of the Democratic Party either. But if it comes down between Donald and Obama-- I would vote for Obama in a heart beat. In fact, I don't think there is anyone that is running in the Republican party that I would seriously vote for.
This man cannot be President of the United States. He makes Sarah Palin look like a viable choice (AND I DESPISE SARAH PALIN.)... I mean, is this even serious? Is this a weird comical dream?
I can just see Donald sitting around the table with his cabinet screaming, YOUR'E FIRED! I mean, what in the world has Donald ever done that warrants him to run for the highest office in the land?
Let's look at his record-- He has bankrupted two companies and has had multiple marriages. And he is attacking Obama for not being born in the United States and not being a legitimate citizen. Okay...
Donald Trump is a celebrity nothing more. You always have celebrities jokingly claim they are running for President, it never really turns into anything.
But the scary part of this is, he is FRONTRUNNER. Has the Republican Party gone absolutely mad? You may say the Democrats screwed up with Obama-- but at least Obama was a career politician before he was President. A Community Organizer, State Senator, and a US Senator.
I am very upset that we have this problem in America. We are forced to support one man or the other one. Obama knows that people like me have to vote for him because the extreme is too extreme. I think Mitt Romney is the only that looks like he could have a great handle on the government. But the Conservatives will never go with his Mormon beliefs and his Moderate stances on Health Care.
We are just in a huge political mess, it's getting scarier out there. And the scariest part of it-- Donald Trump is in it.
When people say, "Blame the ones who voted for Obama in 2008, for the problems in this country." I want to slap them in the face. Yeah, I am not particularly happy with him either- but you act like your President was the holiest man on the block. Regardless of all the screw ups that Obama has had, it is NOTHING in comparison to the problems and the dismal failure of the Bush Administration. It isn't going to clear up either, He screwed up- and that's all history will remember him for. Nothing is ever going to change that, and no matter how much you demonize Barack Obama, it will never change that fact. But this isn't about Bush... I am just saying this, to prove a point.
The reason, I will not be putting a yard sign, making phone calls in swing states, wearing a T shirt, having a bumper sticker for our President- is because, He has not made me happy one bit.
He has betrayed the ones that believed in him. He was suppose to be different, but he is turning into the same old, same old.
How can we believe anything he says? When he has done directly opposite of what he went out to do.
When the Conservatives call him too Liberal, I say he is too Conservative. He has bent so far to making people happy, that I don't even know what he is. Obama is, "just is."
Here are some prime examples of why I am not going to endorse him:
* When the BP Oil Spill happened, he wasn't tough enough. He had the perfect and oppritune time to advance clean energy. Now BP is going back and drilling in the same place!
* The Health Care Bill was a disaster. He never came out and supported the logical choices that would help our Health Care system. Instead, he let congress and the Insurance industry make the shadiest piece of legislation that FORCES us to pay for something or we receive a fine. If you are going to do Health Care Reform, might as well create a Public Option. Because this bill is going to wreck havoc on every single person in the United States.
*He never closed Gitmo, even though he said he would. We are still torturing people there, and having shady trials. I know you say Terrorists don't deserve trials. But, we as Americans need to be a shining example. How in the world can we expect other nations not to torture if we aren't? AND YES... Water Boarding is Torture. Ask John Mccain, if it's torture.
*He sat down and didn't do a thing when collective bargaining was at stake, even though he said he would. He never did, never came to their defense. Didn't do a thing for anybody in the unions.
Barack Obama is weak. He is the weakest president we have ever had in my recent memory. He doesn't remind me of Jimmy Carter, He doesn't remind me of Bush, He doesn't remind me of Reagan.... No he reminds me of something we have never seen. He is not gained the respect of the American people, because he has not been doing things that would make anyone respect him.
And then he comes waltzing to us, "Will you support us for 2012?" . I don't want to see an extreme Conservative or a Libertarian get into office. That to me is still more terrifying than 8 years of Obama.... however, I don't know how to answer that. He made us believe in something, in change... and what we got was more of the same. Maybe change is impossible?
I know the President can't work miracles, we weren't expecting him to. We were expecting him to stand for principles, for justice, for freedom. He hasn't done these simple things... and that is truly heart wrenching.
There is a lot of toxic and untrue fiction surrounding our President. The Birther movement is strong and afoot, and the crazy notion that he is a Muslim, and that he is a Socialist. All of these fictional thoughts have painted our President as someone that isn't worthy of our respect and honor. Despite that this President, won by a stronger electoral majority than Bush did in 2000 and 2004. I have spent two years wondering why in the world, there is so much hate towards Obama. After all, the man hasn't leered that much from what Bush wanted to do in Afghanistan and Iraq. And he continued some of the same spending that Bush was instituting at the end of his term. The only real conclusion is that a media has preyed on the ignorance and fear of the people.
Despite this, the last two years my faith in Barack Obama has not been sound. His year and a half devotion to Health Care, and coming up with a bill that is not agreeable to any American has been the biggest disappointment to me. The fact that he has not stood strong in storms. The fact that he has abandoned those, us-- the ones who believed in "Change We Can Believe in" with a tax compromise that will leave us further in debt. These things have been very frustrating to me about Barack Obama's presidency.
However...
I believe that this President as of late, has made great strides in regaining the trust of Americans. It's a long road ahead, but this President has finally got the message. The Republican House has made a great change in this President. The People have spoken, and he has heard.
Tonight President Obama spoke to core values in Americans. First was to address our debt. The President has pledged to cut spending in anyway we can. He has ordered a 5 year spending freeze. He has pledged to veto any law that has earmarks.
The President has struck the prospect of clean energy jobs, and fostering a new era of clean energy. He has pledged that this is, "Our Sputnik Moment."
The President has pledged that in 25 years we will have a strong infrastructure. We will have a High Speed Rail that will help our travel, and stop carbon emissions.
He has told the Republicans he is open to their ideas on Health Care. And even pledge he would do something on Tort Reform. He did stay on the facts that this bill, eliminates the Insurance companies from denying people coverage with Pre-Existing Conditions. And that it has already given our country good things. Don't tell me you are against Children, having health insurance. I dare you to tell me that's a bad idea. We do need to re-work this bill, and there really is no choice but to tweak it now.
But the greatest moment in the President's speech, was his mention of Education. When he spoke of Education, my ears perked up. We are in a great dire danger in the area of Education. But I think the problem is not going to go away by spending money at it. We need to rework the education system to be more exciting and compelling for the youth of the 21st century. If you don't think this is a big deal, you need to look around. 1/4 of our kids, do not graduate high school. This is unacceptable and abhorrent for our nation. We need to make sure that every child has a great foundation of education that is current, engaging, and technological advanced for the current times. He called on Teachers to come to arms, and I want to say Mr. President, I am coming to arms.
But despite all of the good things that Obama has said tonight. There were things that were omitted in his speech. That I would have liked to see more of and even mentioned.
I would have to say in wake of the Tuscon tragedy. That we should fight the much needed reform for making sure that Guns do not end up in the wrong hands. I am not saying we need to do away with them. But does anyone really need an extended magazine in a pistol? This was outlawed up until 2004.
I would have like to hear him say that he would work with the ground base of communities. That he would help community centers, churches, and other religious institutions serve the community. That he would let those that have passion for people, be enabled and be friends with their elected officials--instead of adversaries.
And, I know he would never talk about it... But, I would have loved to hear how he would care for the lives of the unspoken. How this congress can be the ones, to make sure that Abortions are a rare thing in our society. I know that he cannot speak of that, because of the Democratic Party platform. But, we need to do something about it. It is indeed, one of the greatest problems in our country. It is our slavery issue of the new century. I pray for the day Unnecessary abortions, to be a thing of the past. But also, I would have liked to hear him talk about the needs of our elderly and mentally disabled. How our care for them is the greatest duty for our people. That cutting Social Security is unacceptable, and that we can make it and cut other things before hurting the ones that are the most vulnerable.
I wish he would have talked about how vile Partisan speech are going to hurt our country. And some of this speech isn't in the chambers, not naming names. But I think you know who I am talking about.
And...
I guess this brings what I really think of the man. There is a lot of confusion from people when they know that I voted for Obama. I really did believe this man was the man who would bring forth these things that he promised. And I think that those that stood with him, believed he would do it. He has spent most of his political capital on things that Americans couldn't agree with. Forget all the broohahaaha about all the birther stuff, socialist stuff... etc. That's not the real issue. The President didn't devote his time to the economy, to energy ,and to things that would improve our lives in the first half of his Presidency. But now, he has vowed to change that. I am a believer in second chances. But, this is his last chance. He must work with the Republicans, listen to the People-- or we may wake up to a nightmare... President Palin. (just kidding.)
But despite all of this. I love my country as much as any gun toting Republican does. My eyes fill with tears when the Star Spangled Banner plays. I have so much pride and hope for my nation. The last two years, that has been tested in ways that I never thought would be tested. But, I do believe we will bounce back and be a strong nation. We cannot let the fear and those that want us to be divided to hurt us and keep us back. We have to move forward, and realize that our mistakes can be fixed by ideas and hard work (like the President has said.)

Wednesday Sarah Palin spoke about the tragedy in Tuscon. Or, for better matter came in on the defense for her rhetoric. Instead of drawing me to her side, she has made me further disgusted at the arrogance, the jealousy, and the plain ignorance from this former Alaska Governor.
I do not expect much from Palin. She is a novelty politician that is showing that she is only appealing to a sliver of those that are on the political scene. This Mama Grizzly did not have to do much. No one is expecting her to change her political beliefs. However, there is a certain time when a person in politics has to eat their words, come clean and move on. Sarah Palin showed today that she has no intention of doing this. She dug herself further into a hole, as far as the "Liberal" media is concerned.
Let's go into this, She claims that after the Tuscon shooting that a "blood libel went against the right." Okay, Sarah you are such a victim. What about the Greenes who lost their precious 9 year old girl? What about Gabrielle Giffords who is undoubtedly never going to have a normal life again. SARAH you are such a victim! I bet you are hurting so bad from all those nasty things Olbermann said about you.
Okay, I am not blaming Palin for what happened. I never did, I went on the Democratic Party's facebook site and defended her. But I did not defend her words. I have always believed that her rhetoric and the rest of the right in 2010 was distasteful. I do believe that there is a dangerous element in the Tea Party. This isn't the picture of the whole movement, but when you put fuel on the fire- something is bound to happen. But, I believe Sarah Palin is not to blame for what happened on Saturday.
But when a district that she "targeted" on her website, happens to have a tragic event. If she had any remote language that can be considered violent, she has a duty as a leader to explain herself. She has a duty to say how we need to tone down our rhetoric and not incite any violence. She doesn't have to apologize for her views, but she needs to at least say, "That was not my intention."
But like I said, what she did was ignorant and hateful. Does she even know what a blood libel is? I doubt it, or she wouldn't have used it. A blood libel is an Anti-Semitic (Hating Jews) conspiracy theory where they claim that the Jews used children's blood in their matza. To even compare her plight to the Jewish plight was a strong hateful stroke. Maybe she knew that Gabrielle Giffords, was Jewish. (I am just saying.) But, I cry ignorance.
Which further proves my point. This is the frontrunner for the Republican Party in 2012. Is anyone a little disturbed? A good leader takes their faults, and learns from them and goes on. Sarah Palin, doesn't do this, she arrogantly believes everything to be true.
I wonder how she's going to get out of this.
My opinion, is this is the thing that's going to hurt Sarah forever. If her remote chances of being President were there, they are gone. If the country elects her, they will make the worst mistake they have ever made.

The Horrific Shootings today, has given me and all of us a prospective of American politics. It is very sad, that we as a country have had a dark history of civil servants being on the targeted list of madmen's bullets. But, we are not going to head back into those turbulent times, because we are a better country.
On Facebook, I read some of the comments from the extreme right. It's a sheer fact that they are obsessed with violence and to inflict harm on Democrats and the President. It is not a fact, that the Tuscon incident is a result of Extreme right rhetoric. However, it should give those that are over the "Right" to straighten up, and do not play into the anger of people. I am not joining in the leftist banter that Sarah Palin is responsible. But, I am saying that she should at least consider that her "crosshair" graphics on her Facebook page could have had negative effects on Gifford's district. That her talk must be elevated, and not entice violence.
Sharron Angle, the Republican opponent to Harry Reid in 2010 needs to come out and retract her "Second Ammendment Remedies" speech. And any Tea Partier that sees any person in their movement wanting to use violence to get their way, they need to report them.
There has been a threat all around the world for those that are in civil service, that they can be the victims of assassins. America has been a place where this doesn't happen all to frequently. But that's because, we are people that believe in peaceful process. So, any rhetoric that compromises our value of this process needs to be strongly opposed.
We all need to pray for Gabrille Giffords and we also need to pray for the others that were killed (including a 9 year old girl) and the several wounded. We should not be afraid to express and peacefully assemble as it is dutifully promised in the First Amendment of the Constitution. Ironically, Congresswoman Giffords read the First Amendment on the house floor before this incident. We need to keep the American spirit alive.
